"Fantastic and breathtaking sunset view over the cliff"

5.0/5.0

It has one of the most beautiful and breathtaking sunset view I ever seen. watch out for the monkeys over there, which are the best thieves in the world, they will steal your small items like sun glasses, hair band/clips, and even camera if you're not careful, then they'll only return it in exchange for foods from the local guides there, and you'll need to pay the local guide for getting your stuff back. the monkeys and the local guides there are actually partners in crime.

Another thing you should try is the kecak dance performance which is unique only to Bali, it's another different wonderful experience by watching the kecak dance with the beautiful sunset over the cliff the horizon in the background.

"Interesting Balinese Temple and Cultural Show"

4.0/5.0

The Uluwatu Temple and the Kecak Ramayana & Fire Dance was worth the trip. The monkeys that reside at the temple can be aggressive and we were warned to watch our glasses, jewelry and not carry food. The temple was interesting and the location overlooking the Ocean is beautiful. We hoped to get good sunset pictures, but it was a bit cloudy the evening we were there. You must wear respectful clothing that covers your knees or rent a sarong and sash to go into the temple.

The Kecak Ramayana & Fire Dance is 70,000 Rupiah (less than $8 US). Our driver suggested seats in the top row for both views of the sunset and to be above the show. The lighting was natural and from the fire and with our camera our pictures were not the best. The show attracts a lot of tourists and is very crowded so get there early for high seats. Late-comers were seated practically on the stage. As stated by others a program is provided in multiple languages that explain the story and dance.

"Must watch Kecak Dance"

5.0/5.0

Uluwatu Temple is located at the southernmost tip of Bali. We hopped on a cab who agreed to bring us to Uluwatu, dinner at Jimbaran and back to Kuta for Rp250, 000. Entering into the temple will cost you Rp15,000 and you will be given sarong and sash if you're wearing shorts. Anything below the knee is fine. In the temple you will find monkeys, monkeys and more monkeys. These are extremely aggressive monkeys who will grab anything even non food items like hats, towels, toys, camera.

Hold on to your things very tight because once they get it, that's the end of it. The temple is breathtakingly located on a cliff plunging down to the sea. Very beautiful and very dangerous. Please don't go beyond the walls. The must do here is to watch the Kecak & Fire dance. Ticket is Rp 70, 000 and you will get the story outline in various languages (incl. English, Chinese, Japanese, etc). The best (and safest) place to sit is right at the top. There will be fire so being on ground level is quite dangerous.
